I think it was rude to say, but, question the fact that his job can penalize him for making that comment. I understand the interview was done prior to the game, however, he does have the freedom of speech. No only that, he was really putting the actress down more so the other player, as she was referred to as the "sloppy second".
I don't know much about conduct rules for the NHL and if he broke them, he should be punished. If not, I see the suspension unwarranted.
Tough call!
