I thought it would be fun to review the various things Erin and I discuss everyday. Not only do we spend a chunk of the day blogging, but, we spend much time talking on the phone with each other. Sometimes we talk just a few minutes and sometimes we talk many hours. You would think we would get tired of each other, but, everyday brings a new topic. We don't always blog about everything we do each day, so I thought this would be fun.
Let me know what you think.

Today's topics... Our Mother, our siblings, our financial situation and the Governor.
Today we talked ALLOT and mostly about our Mother. She is getting up there in age and having problems with her old home. Erin and I spend much time discussing her situation and how we can make it easier on our Mom. Much of the problem is there is many of things that need to be done in her house, yet she doesn't have the funds or ability to accomplish these tasks. Our siblings are very helpful as well, but, the problem is we all live very far from each other and our Mom. We have one sister who lives a few blocks away, but, her busy work schedule doesn't allow much time to help. Today we tossed around ideas on how to discuss a solution with her and our siblings.
We also discussed our changing financial situations, actually mostly my situation. My husband and I are finding ourselves in a place we have never been and trying very hard to stay a float financially. We have gone to our bank for help and no one can help you unless you DON'T pay your bills. Seems silly that someone won't help you before things become a huge mess. My husband makes a very good living and we have always been able to afford anything. We have the big house, cars, vacations and never denied ourselves of much. We haven't really figured out how things changed, as my husband still works and we have cut things back a lot. I guess the high gas prices, rising food prices and taxes have are starting to take their toll. I have taken on more hours at my job, so hopefully things will continue to get better. Erin has offered to watch my kids twice a week to help me cover the hours...good to have a sister!
Finally, the last topic we discussed was the Illinois Governor. We generally don't talk politics, but, how could you not today. Scandalize!!!
Well, let me know what you think. I could re-cap everyday or once a week. It's kind of fun to hear other peoples stories or maybe you think it's boring. Let me know what you think!
Honesty never hurts!!!!
