Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma

I was sad to learn a former High School friend is loosing a battle to cancer. She and her daughter have started an orginzation to help raise money for ACC (Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma) research.

Her story is quite intersting and so is her determination in fighing this head on.

Brian Littrell

If some of you are like me, you secretly love the Backstreet Boys. I was sad to see in the news that Brian Littrell's son is in the hospital for an undisclosed illness.


This got me curious so I Googled Brian Littrell and found he was the driving force behind Healthy Heart Club.


This is their mission statement:

The Brian Littrell Healthy Heart Club for Kids® will educate children and their families regarding the benefits of adopting a heart-healthy lifestyle. Through education, promotion and caring the Brian Littrell Healthy Heart Club for Kids ® fulfills its mission of nurturing heart conscious families while being instrumental in creating healthier communities.

Being a heart disease survivor as and adult, I think it is important to teach children the importance of living a heart healthy lifestyle.
