This would ONLY happen to me!

We all have had those days were someone beeps and it just sets off our anger and I am no different.
Thursday while driving home from school I saw a young man stopped on the side of the road, so I pulled over to attempt to ask him if he needed help. Just as I started to roll down the window, some crazy guys beeps and throws up his arm as if he was saying "move over you dizzy lady". I pulled over and as he passed I kindly showed him how my horn worked and how pretty my nail polish was on my middle finger. WELL.... he did not like that! As we both pulled away, forgetting the stranded driver, he stops his car and starts walking up to my car yelling at me. I really wasn't paying much attn. , as I was quite scared with the girls in the car. However, this did not stop me from telling him I WAS A GOOD PERSON and he was a big ass for passing a stranded driver. He got back in his car and I then took a picture of licence plate.
When I got home I called a friend who suggested I call the police. I took her advice and called our local department. The officer who answered was very nice he asked for my name, address, phone number, asked if I worked in the area. I told him "yes" and mentioned I had a picture of the car, but, I didn't want the person to get in trouble. The officer took a very long pause and said "Well Kathleen..... THAT WAS ME!!!!!" WTF!!!! The police officer that I was talking too, was no other than mister jack ass from earlier. He proceeded to not only lecture me about beeping and flipping people off, but, then told me I was wrong for stopping to ask someone if they needed help.
First of all, I had never felt like such an idiot in my life and second this guy really scared me. Why did he ask all of my information before he told me he was the driver. I of course convinced myself that he was going to come over and do something horrible. I started to cry and told him he should be ashamed of his behavior and all he had to say was "I'm sorry you had to learn such a hard lesson!". Nice, really nice! After a very awkward conversation and him asking if I wanted to come in to the station to talk, we both apologized for our poor behavior and hung up.
I was shaken my the event for the remainder of the day and of course Pete was not going to be home that night and we had gymnastics, so I had to come home alone with the girls into a dark house. All was fine and I'm sure he feels like an ass as much as me, but, boy do I feel stupid.
I guess the moral of the story is don't EVER stop to help anyone, no matter what!!! You may end up pissing off some cop at the local police department.

Ha ha. That's a great story. I once "brighted" a car that had it's high beams on only to have the car turn around and pull me over. Yes, it was a cop. He lectured me on keeping my eyes on the white line. We were in the middle of a canyon and I couldn't see crap with his brights! Sometimes those guys are idiots.
