HELP! We are trying to plan a family vacation with my husbands family in July, however, it is proving challenging.We would like it to be 5 hours or less, via car, from Chicago, kid friendly, pet friendly, active adult friendly and preferably on the nicer end.
We thought we found the perfect place in Mackinaw Island, MI, however, after much review the resort we choose that will suit our needs does not have air conditioning. With two seniors and me with my heart, air conditioning is a must. Unfortunately, the resort we choose is the only pet friendly location, so now Mackinaw Island is out of the question.
Any suggestions? I have looked at several options in Michigan, however, it's hard to make a choice when you've never been.
