The Smart Car
I'm going to start by saying "I'm sorry if I hurt any one's feelings", but, what the hell is up with these Smart Cars? They are the silliest of silly cars and people look like damn fools driving them. I couldn't see how anyone could walk away from any type of accident and not be hurt or killed. I get the concept of saving energy for the environment, however, is their goal to make a car to kill off people in these tiny little traps? Less people...less people to pollute the environment?
Couldn't they have made this a tad bigger? Let's face it, we all know SUV's, trucks & mini-vans are probably the worst vehicles for the environment, however, most people purchase these types of vehicles because they require the space. I would love to drive a car, but, when the girls were little I couldn't even get their double stroller in our car. We had to trade that in and get something bigger. Needless to say, 4 years later we still have both of our SUV's. We could move them to a car now or when they move in too boosters, however, with the economy the way it is, we'll be an SUV family for a while longer. When we do move back to cars, I can assure you that the Smart Car will not be on our list of options. It seems with Hybrids you have many choices and they seem much safer. I couldn't even imagine having the Smart Car and putting people in the back seat, let alone my kids. Does it even have a back seat? My kids would think it was a play car, hell their Barbie Jeeps are bigger than this silly car.
OK...my rant is over! Again, I apologize if this hurt any one's feelings. Trust me, I am not judging anyone for trying to do their part in saving our environment, I give you kudos...but...couldn't you do it in a bigger, not so sill car? You could get hurt driving one of those things.
Do you know anyone who has a Smart Car? Do they like it? What do you think?

I don't get them either..they look like toy cars. Very Freaky.
I agree...these are silly cars. I usually break out laughing when I see one on the road, especially when driven by men. It is like "saving the earth" (as if driving these rolling coffins actually makes a difference) is more important than personal safety. It is ridiculous, not to mention dangerous!
